What you’ll do

Guided tour of 2 archaeological sites in one day (Cobá & Tulum).

Journey into the History of the Mayan Civilization with an expert local guide as your personal companion, helping you explore even the lesser-known corners of these 2 important Mayan archaeological sites.

Learn about the scientific achievements of the Mayan civilization

Our day begins with a guided exploration of the archaeological site of Cobá, a Mayan kingdom which, before being mysteriously abandoned by A.D. 900., excelled at pyramid-building, hieroglyphic-writing, calendar-making and other forms of applied mathematics.

Explore Cobá riding a bicycle or a Mayan Taxi.

You can choose to ride a bicycle or a Mayan taxi through the surrounding rainforests, and follow the trail leading to the main pyramid of Cobá, while admiring the ancient temples buried for centuries under the jungle growth along the way.

Climb the tallest Mayan pyramid of the Yucatan Peninsula.

Soaring out of the rainforest canopy is the Nohoch Mul pyramid of Cobá, one of the tallest Mayan pyramids in Mexico, and as you climb to the top your reward will be a fantastic bird’s eye view of the surrounding jungle.

Avoid mass tourism and come swim in a pristine cenote, away from the crowds and in nature.

Discover the most beautiful ecosystem of our planet, a place of mystery and magic for the Mayan culture as you swim in the crystal clear water of a secluded cenote, and enjoy the stillness of a true environmental treasure jewel, hidden away in the middle of the jungle.

Enjoy delicious home-grown food with a Mayan family

Meet a Mayan family and spend time in their traditional community, where you will enjoy a delicious home-cooked meal made with authentically organic produce, all coming straight from their orchards in the Mayan countryside.

Go off the beaten path and discover the authentic Mayan countryside

Following our delicious meal-time nourishment, our Mayan family hosts will take you through a guided tour of their community, where you will experience the true indigenous context of Mexico, and learn about the self-sufficient ways of life that characterize the Mayan People of our day.

Guided tour of the archaeological site of Tulum

The last part of our journey takes place at the archaeological site of Tulum, one of the most important Mayan settlements and commerce seaports towards 1200 AD. With exclusive access toward the end of the day, our guided visit allows for a visually enhanced level of appreciation of this historical relic, rendered in all its majestic wonder under the softer light of the afternoon.

Experience the magical enchantment of the Tulum Ceremonial Center

You will gain a higher understanding of this Mayan ceremonial center carefully constructed facing the turquoise blue horizon of the Caribbean, as you learn about its strategically positioned temples, built in perfect alignment to the sunrise every year during the Solstice and the Equinox, and forever.
